Worship

Mission: Provides oversight of the implementation of services; evaluates present and future worship programs; offers training for worship leaders; and ensures the availability of necessary worship resources; assists rector in planning and implementing details of worship (seasonal, special days e.g. graduates’ Sunday, etc.)

Acolytes

Youth and adults who assist the clergy in worship services.

Provides the necessary preparation and closing activities for all worship services, including weddings, funeral and the normal service schedule.

Chalicists:

Assists in the administration of Holy Communion during services.

Daughters of the King:

Encourages and enables all to be reflections of God’s love, reaching out through prayer, service and evangelism to spread His kingdom.

Healing:

Laying on hands, anointing with oil, and prayer for self or others during the 10:15 service and other times, as determined.

Lay Eucharistic Visitors:

Offers pastoral visits with the administration of Holy Communion to home-bound or hospitalized parishioners.

Lectors:

Reads the lessons from Holy Scripture during worship services.

Music/choir:

Provides music leadership for the worship services of the church.

Nursery

Provides loving care to the youngest members of the parish during the 10:15 service.

Tellers: (office)

Consists of two people who record the pledge and plate offering into the financial records following the Sunday services.

Ushers:

Offers hospitality to guests and members by welcoming all, helping to orient newcomers, collect the offering, indicate to clergy those parishioners who are unable to receive Communion at the altar rail, and meet other needs to make the service worshipful.
